The Power of Decisions
The decisions we make are so very powerful! They allow us to tap into all the strength and courage we have within!
My decision was to live! To triumph!!
Good morning, everyone. And welcome to the bedhead Chronicles. Today is a very special day for me. It is day 100 post my bone marrow transplant. And when you reached that point for anybody who's been through this kind of a thing, like I have. Day 100 means that you have gotten through the riskiest scariest part of your recovery from the transplant.
At this point, everything is en-grafting. My new immune system is taking place in my body and I am now well into my recovery from the transplant and I am so deeply grateful. I had two donors. I had my sister who facilitated the umbilical cord donor that came in and basically has taken over my entire system.
And now my immune system is that, this miraculous gift from that umbilical cord donor. So I am so deeply grateful to reach this point in my recovery. It truly means that I am on my way to full health. And as you all know, from a week ago, when I announced that I am cancer-free, it's the greatest, most miraculous gift in the world.
Life is such a miraculous gift. This has been the greatest challenge of my life. I mean, I have had some incredibly dark moments. Um, I have experienced things that I, you know, I look back and I actually started crying the other night because I thought when I looked back at some of the things that I've been through over the last six months, I don't even know how I had the courage and the bravery and the strength to get through it.
but I'm so proud of myself, uh, to know that I found a way to know that I found that strength. I found that courage. I found that bravery and I made it through, I think in life we underestimate how powerful we are as human beings. We underestimate our bravery. We underestimate our strength. We underestimate the power of our heart, our soul, the power of what we believe in the power of what we want.
And if there's one thing I've learned from this, I know that in the beginning and I made the decision when I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, I knew what the statistics were. I made the decision that I am going to triumph over this. I am going to conquer this cancer. I have so much life to live.
I have so much more to give to this world. I have so much loving to do. And I knew that I wanted another 50 years, at least of living to be able to touch lives, make a difference, live this life and be grateful. And I made that decision. And when we make that decision, when we know that there is no alternative, that is what we want.
That is what we're going to create. Then no matter what comes your way, you find the resilience, you find the strength, you find the courage to get through it and to get through it bravely, no matter how far I felt, no matter how sick I felt, no matter how scary it got, no matter how much it hurt. I never wavered from knowing.
That I am going to triumph over this. I am going to be victorious and I'm going to live a very long life. It's making that decision and if you're not dealing with something like this, you can, this, this applies to anything in life. It's making a decision. So you have a dream of accomplishing something in your life and you make the decision that you will not stop until you achieve this goal.
That is making a decision that is commitment. And that means that no matter whether you fail or you get disappointed that you will change your approach or find it another way, you'll figure it out and you will keep moving forward until you make that dream come true. Or until you accomplish that, what you dream of accomplishing when you make that decision, it is so incredibly powerful.
You begin manifesting creating that. And nothing will get in your way. And it allows you to tap into all the strike, tap in all the power inside of you to do whatever it takes to achieve that ultimate goal. Making that decision is everything. That's what leads to building your strength, building up your resilience.
I've made my decision. I'm cancer-free now, and I'm the most grateful. Grateful human on the planet. I praise God every day for this miraculous gift of life. And I know that I have so much more to give this world and to give all of you and to give those around me, make a decision and it can be something as small as another decision that I've made in my life is I don't want to suffer.
I don't like suffering. I don't like being uncomfortable. So in every moment, if I find myself in a state of suffering, I find a way out, I look for solutions. I'm not focusing on the problem of suffering and whatever it is I'm going through. I'm focusing on, okay, what are my possible solutions here? I'm going to change my focus.
All the things I learned from Tony Robbins, I'm going to change my focus. I'm going to change what this means to me. I'm going to reframe this in a way that gives me strength and makes me feel good. This has been a really tough time for everyone in the world today. It's hard. It's scary. It creates anxiety, but if you want to feel better, choose to feel better.
Choose not to suffer, choose to find the gifts in every day. Choose to find meaning in this, that we will all come out of this better than ever before, with a greater understanding, with a different perspective, that's going to allow us to live even more fulfilling lives. Make the decision on a small scale from deciding that you're not going to suffer and you want to be happy or you want to be as comfortable as possible to a big decision of, I will try them.
But make that decision. And then in every moment, recognize and acknowledge the thoughts that you're having, the way that you're thinking and make sure that those thoughts are aligning with what you want. Discipline your mind, discipline your focus, discipline the way that you give meaning to things and make sure that what you're focusing on the meaning you're giving things is empowering you and making you feel good and helping you move forward on the path towards achieving your ultimate dreams and goals.
Thank you for being here with me on this journey, your love, your thoughts, your prayers, your support. it's meant everything to me. Love heals. It truly does. And knowing that you have all these people supporting you and believing in you and believing that you can make it through believing that you can achieve something, just believing in you in general.
It's the greatest gift in the world, so thank you all. I love you have an amazing Day and just thank you.
