Stay Calm When it's Scary

Good morning everyone, and welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles. Well, the Bald Head Chronicles. Now I'm here at UC Health with my amazing mom who has not left my side for weeks, and I'm getting a blood transfusion. So this is kind of our life right now.
Good morning everyone, and welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles. Well, the Bald Head Chronicles.

Now I'm here at UC Health with my amazing mom who has not left my side for weeks, and I'm getting a blood transfusion. So this is kind of our life right now.

We moved into an apartment, which is beautiful. We love it. It's in Denver. We get to go for really nice walks every single day in this beautiful park that's right outside the apartment. And I've been coming into outpatient every single day to get blood work done -- transfusion if needed, platelet transfusion if needed. And all of this, right now, is just waiting for my beautiful new cord cells to create an amazing new immune system inside of me and make its beautiful home inside my body and strengthen and get healthier and healthier every single day. That's the goal. That's a plan.

And, in times like these where there are a lot of fears about obviously the virus and all of these things, it can get really, really scary. But what I know is that when I get scared, it doesn't help me. So it's important to just stay calm, keep tranquility inside your mind and think positive. Just know that you're doing everything in your power to be as healthy as you can be and that you're doing everything right. And as long as you control what you're doing and protect yourself you gotta just know and have faith that you're going to be okay.

But I want to thank this woman right here. She's been my absolute rock. My amazing mom has not left my side and. a journey like this, that I'm on, you can't do alone. And my wife, Bek, of course, is absolutely amazing. She's had to stay home with her mom who had a bit of a, cold and so we had to stay separate, but I'm going to get to see her today.

But hold your family members tight. Let them know how much you love them. Let them know how much you cherish them. Let them know how much you celebrate them. Because, yeah, their best things in the world. So thank you and I love you with all my heart.

And to all of you, I am every single day doing my best to get stronger and healthier and better every single day. And I thank you for your prayers and your thoughts. They mean the world to me and I love you all so, so much. So thank you for thinking of me. Thank you for sending your love. Thank you for sending your prayers. Stay healthy, stay strong, stay positive. Stay full of faith and just do everything right to take care of yourselves and to take care of everyone around you.

I love you all. Thank you.
