How to Maintain Momentum in Your Quest to be Your Best Self

Good morning, everyone. Welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles.

Today, I want you to think about something you have in your life, now, that you dreamed about having in the past. Something that was a goal that you had that meant everything to you that you've now achieved.

Sometimes, I think we said these goals were so excited about it. And that's what drives us for days, and weeks, and months, and years, even. and then we achieve it. And we don't stop to:

#1: appreciate and acknowledge the fact that we've achieved this huge goal that we had set for ourselves.
#2: we don't celebrate it.
#3: we don't reward ourselves.

I'm a true believer that in order to build up your confidence and build up that incredible feeling that comes from setting a goal and working so hard to achieve it, and then to take on something else, that it's so important to acknowledge and appreciate the progress that we're making along the way. And then to celebrate that. And to, in some small way, shape or form, reward ourselves for it.

Because if we're not appreciating or acknowledging our progress or our success if we're not celebrating it, and if we're not rewarding ourselves, we start actually taking it for granted. And I'm a believer that in life, we shouldn't take anything for granted.

I hope that each and every one of you wakes up and looks over at your partner or your dog or your home or, you know, the people around you and feel grateful that you have that love or that connection or that roof over your head or the job that you have or the abilities and opportunities that you have. I'm all about appreciation and gratitude,

but in order to keep setting goals and keep finding the fire in the juice, to achieve those goals, we need to celebrate the small victories along the way.

Sometimes, we have this ultimate goal, and we don't appreciate or acknowledge anything or celebrate anything until we reach the ultimate. But in order to stay on that path, and in order to overcome the difficulties or overcome failings, which we will do along the way, or overcome being disappointed, we need to celebrate the small victories along the way. We need to acknowledge how far we've come. We need to appreciate how far we've come. And we need to celebrate it within ourselves and reward ourselves in some way that allows us to acknowledge ourselves. We often will look to others to acknowledge us or to celebrate us or to reward us.

But I think it's so important that we do that for ourselves. You deserve it and you need it in order to keep going.

So, just remember everybody along the way as you set goals for yourselves, as you work hard towards achieving a certain something whether it be in a relationship or in your job or in your personal life or with your body, appreciate and acknowledge how far you've come. Celebrate the small victories or celebrate overcoming something that was truly tough and came out the other side.

I'd and reward yourself in some way, shape, or form and that will keep you super fired up and continuing on this path of becoming your best self.

Thank you, everyone, and have an amazing day.
