Finishing No Matter What
Today, I want to talk about those incredibly tough days. Those days when, perhaps, you're in the middle of a race, whatever that may mean to you. Whether it's a sporting event like a triathlon. Or a big project that you're involved in. Or just a day at work or at home. But a day when nothing seems to be going right and you're really struggling.
Welcome to the Bed Head Chronicles.
Now, I know how hard it is to finish when you're having a horrible day. But I also know how gratifying it can be to be resilient. To do whatever you can with what you have on that day to finish.
Being a finisher, being a completer, never giving up is so incredibly important in life because we are going to have tough days. We're going to have tough times. But I can tell you from personal experience that pushing through those tough times, finding a way to do the best that you can with what you have on that day, can be the most gratifying, strength-building, confidence-building thing in your life.
Here at Team Sirius, we are all finishers. We are all relentless and resilient and we complete the task no matter how bad we feel. Because it is through those struggles that we truly do step into our greatest strengths.
I'm asking you to always, no matter how bad the day is going, finish gracefully, not begrudgingly. Finish with gratitude and passion for being able to do what you love. Or for being able to find the mental toughness in the resilience to carry on regardless of how bad you feel.
Prove to yourself and to the world that nothing is going to get in the way of you achieving your dreams. Nothing.
Prove yourself that nothing will beat you -- that you're up for the challenge. That you are resilient. You are relentless. And that you're a finisher. Because there's no greater power in that.
It's not going to be easy to achieve their goals and dreams, but I tell you what -- everytime you fall down, if you can stand back up and dust yourself off and put yourself back in the game having learned something, having grown, having strengthened -- when you do achieve that ultimate goal, that ultimate victory, it will be the most satisfying and fulfilling moment of your life. Because you will know that through the process, you became you -- the best version of you.
Stay strong. Be resilient. And believe in you. You have everything you need inside of you.
